Enjoy a Blue Matcha Latte 💙🍵 that combines the energy of ceremonial matcha with the magical color of Butterfly Blue Pea: creamy, antioxidant, and perfect for studying or working

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) ceremonial matcha
  • 2 teaspoons Butterfly Blue Pea flowers
  • 150 ml milk or plant-based drink (oat, coconut, almond)
  • 150 ml hot water (80–90 °C, not boiling)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or sweetener to taste 🍯
  • Ice (optional, for cold version) ❄️

Utensils

  • Chawan (bowl) and chasen (whisk) or manual/electric whisk
  • Fine strainer for the blue infusion

Preparation

  1. Steep the Butterfly Blue Pea in 150 ml of hot water for 5–7 min and strain
  2. In the chawan, sift the matcha; add 30–50 ml of hot water and whisk in a "Z" shape with the chasen until foamy
  3. Heat and froth the milk (or use it cold for an iced version)
  4. In your glass, first pour the blue infusion, then the milk, and finally the matcha to achieve a green-blue gradient ✨
  5. Sweeten to taste and mix gently before drinking

Tip: For iced, add ice to the glass before the infusion; for a more intense color, use 1½ teaspoons of Blue Pea 💡
